This edition of the Profess Interview Series brings to you an exclusive conversation between C.E. Moore and Stephen Christian, lead singer of Anberlin. In our interview, Stephen talks about Anberlin’s tour with Taking Back Sunday, his side project Anchor & Braille (August 4, 2009), being apart from family, his involvement with TWLOHA and Faceless International, and how his faith in Jesus drives everything he does.
BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Stephen Christian, is the lead vocalist of the alternative rock band Anberlin. He is also one of the main songwriters of the band, along with Joseph Milligan.
Anberlin has released four albums, Blueprints for the Black Market, Never Take Friendship Personal, Cities, and New Surrender. Anberlin has also released a compilation album, Lost Songs, and Christian also has an acoustic solo project under the name of Anchor & Braille, whose debut album produced by Aaron Marsh of Copeland is expected to surface in 2009 after being completed in 2008 . Christian wrote a book, The Orphaned Anything's , and it was released online in spring of 2008.
Stephen is a graduate from University of Central Florida with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. He also helped found Faceless International, a non-profit organization that organizes and takes humanitarian trips to overseas countries with other bands in an attempt to help educate both those on the trip and those in the country they visit.
